What do coconut trees and wheat fields have in common? Usually, not much. But in this case, we got a whole lotta love!
My childhood friend Emma grew up with her backyard as the warm Caribbean Sea (literally). Meanwhile, her future hubs, Tyler, heralded from the prairies of Saskatchewan. Not exactly walking distance, but the two crossed paths, caused some sparks, and won each other’s hearts.
Two of the sweetest people you will ever meet, they shared their special day with friends and family at a stunning home venue overlooking the ocean. There was tremendous love and care put into every detail of the day. From the hanging photo wall, to the heartfelt speeches (yes, I cried), to the song choice for their first dance (the smooth sounds of Bob Marley), it all resonated with their personalities to a “T”.
In between all the vigorous dancing and punchy punch shots (delicious and simultaneously evil because the tasty fruit punch mixer masks the potency of the 75% alcohol Trinidadian Puncheon rum used), I managed (with the help of some kind others) to snag a few photo memories from the night.
As the night goes on, some of the photos grow fuzzier, but the moments will be recounted fondly for years to come.
CONGRATS Emma and Tyler! May there be many more coconut trees, wheat fields and other lush foliage wherever your path may lead!
