Summer is fading. Tragic, but true.
For those of us further away from the equator, it’s getting harder to be in denial about the chillier months ahead. In a desperate attempt to hold on to even the littlest specks left, I’ve gone full-out blinding yellow for this evening look. Poppy colours, and flowy fabric are also a call to home for me – hallmarks of an island girl I suppose. The perfectly manicured backdrop is Swaneset Bay Resort and Country Club, known for its chateau-style clubhouse and the mountains that lay behind it.
To compliment the yellow, I went for gold-tinged accessories, and other vibrant contrasting colours – red, teal and orange. Not too plentiful to become a crayola box, but neatly placed, to give just enough alternate colour.
And of course, added some deep red lippy.
The dress also came with some built-in metallic hardware – a chain neckline with interwoven yellow fabric.
Decided to ground it all with a nude strappy heel.
If you haven’t been blinded by all this colour, may it top you up for the chillier season to come!
